-A samurai wolf strolls out into the fields at night, letting the fireflies dance around him in silence.- A sketch from a few weeks back, finally did something with it. I think what inspired this was a Kurosawa film on tv. Just a drawing that went from scribbles to something more complete, except when it came time for a background/setting I was sort of at a loss. So I kept it simple, all my ideas of lavish palaces seemed too busy. I may or may not go back to it. I just liked her pose/expression. She's the "silver morph" color variation of a Red Fox, mainly because I ...well wanted to see some non-orange/red foxes. Variety, the spice of life it is. instruments I like + native animal. I love the coloring/effects I got. P.S. I did the best I could to research the instrument & hand positioning, but its a bit off X( She's that red panda girl again (from the ID thingy) playing whats called an "erhu" a chinese/mongolian string instrument. I love the sound of an Erhu, it can sound sad, like mourning in a vast field beneath a grey sky. Then it can be prancing and delightful, like horses frolicking. I got inspired by jeevestheroo's username, the "roo" part made this image (well an image like this) pop into my head, and I sat down and made myself finish it. Its abit augmented from the original sketch, when I was done coloring I realized the hand positioning to hold a Didgeridoo was off, so added a different limb via PS. I'm no Aussie expert so things may be off, this is also bit more animal in body structure than normal so...don't be too harsh? *puppy eyes* Also this reminded me how long it takes my comp to save a file. *GASP* omg this took alot outta me. It took a while and for a long time there I was upset with it, cause I didn't think I could actually digitally paint the bg. So I spent half a day being "I can't do eet" 1/4 the day going "meh I'm trying it!" and the rest going "yes yes yes! I can do eet!" *cough* that said. I had no ref for what color for shadows and low lighting and stuff so I know she's prolly lighter than she should be. She's a swift fox, I think I shall call her Sarah. I know its a plain name but it kinda fits. Maybe.
